The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation plans to establish a new award for its employees who fulfilled the tasks assigned to them in military and other difficult conditions. Draft order The Investigative Committee on the establishment of the medal “For Service in Special Conditions” was submitted for public discussion on the portal of regulatory legal acts.
The new medal will be awarded for courage and dedication shown when performing tasks in an armed conflict, during a period of martial law or a state of emergency, during a counter-terrorism operation, and in other emergency situations.
The awards will be given to employees, federal civil servants, military personnel of military investigative agencies, including those without an officer rank, and employees of the Investigative Committee.
Citizens who are not employees of the Investigative Committee will also be able to receive the award. By decision of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, they can be awarded for courage and dedication shown in conditions involving risk to life and health.
Medal holders receive a bonus. Awarded employees and military personnel will receive a bonus in the amount of one official salary, civil servants and employees of the Sledkom – in the amount of two salaries. The medal “For Service in Special Conditions” can be awarded more than once.
The medal will be the fourth most senior among the departmental awards of the Investigative Committee. It will need to be worn on the left side of the chest below the state awards of the Russian Federation and the USSR, after the medal “Valor and Courage” and before the rest of the medals of the Investigative Committee.
The new medal will be the nineteenth award established by Sledkom. After signing the order, the list of department awards will include one badge – “Honorary Employee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation”, 14 medals and 4 insignia.
