The Investigative Committee announced the completion of the investigation into the murder of military correspondent Tatarsky

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the completion of the criminal investigation into the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, which claimed the life of war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin). According to the department, preparations for the terrorist attack were carried out in Ukraine for a long time.

It is noted that Daria Trepova (included in the official list of terrorists and extremists) became a defendant in the case under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Part 4 of Article 221.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Part 4 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (included in the official list of terrorists and extremists), as well as under Part 2 of Article 316 The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation has named Dmitry Kasintsev, accused of harboring a terrorist in his apartment after committing an explosion in a cafe on Universitetskaya embankment on Vasilyevsky Island.

The investigation established that the terrorist attack had been prepared for a long time in Ukraine by individuals opposed to the conduct of a special military operation (SVO). As the Investigative Committee noted, the explosion was organized with the aim of intimidating the population, discrediting the Russian authorities, and also to encourage people to renounce their views on the actions of the Russian Armed Forces. The department added that the case has been transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation for approval of the charges, after which it will be sent to court.
