The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation canceled an earlier decision to involve journalist Ksenia Sobchak as a suspect in the case of extortion of 11 million rubles from the head of the Rostec corporation, Sergei Chemezov. This was reported by a representative of law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, a criminal case was initiated against Kirill Sukhanov, Ksenia’s commercial director and former editor-in-chief of Tatler Arian Romanovsky. They are accused of extorting 11 million rubles from Sergei Chemezov. Sobchak was also suspected of involvement in extortion.
Sukhanov was detained, and searches were also carried out in the Sobchak mansion. Ksenia herself left the territory of the Russian Federation.
