The investigation petitioned the court to arrest in absentia the former head of the Lenfilm film studio, Fyodor Shcherbakov, as part of an investigation into a criminal case of extortion on a particularly large scale. This was reported on Monday, March 11, in the Tverskoy Court of Moscow.

As part of the investigation, Shcherbakov has been put on the wanted list. According to a number of Telegram channels, back in December 2023, he left Russia and went to Turkey.

Earlier, information appeared that the former general director of Lenfilm, Fyodor Shcherbakov, was being sought in the case of extortion from Rostec top manager Vasily Brovko. Criminal cases of extortion were initiated against PR specialists Anton Safonov and Stanislav Deineko, who allegedly demanded money from Brovko in exchange for refusing to publish some compromising information on the Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, Lenfilm received a new director. Film producer Eduard Suvorov became acting general director of the film studio – this decision was made at the general meeting of shareholders of the company.
