Bashkiria takes part in the implementation of the Russian project “Za Sambo”
19 regional schools have already joined this initiative, and ten more will be added by the end of this year. In addition, from the new academic year on the basis of the Institute of Physical Culture of the Republic of Belarus will begin to train coaches in this sport discipline.
Also in Bashkiria, the production of sports uniforms for sambists of the republic will be launched. And in 2024, the International SAMBO Festival will be held in Ufa.
The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, announced this at a meeting with the president of the All-Russian Sambo Federation, coordinator of the Za Sambo project, Sergey Eliseev.
“Today we have requests from the Russian regions to replicate the experience of Bashkiria,” said Sergey Eliseev. – You deeply understand the subject, because you went through a big school of wrestling. We take the experience of the region as a basis.
Also, Mr. Eliseev proposed to organize a large-scale sambo tournament among schoolchildren in Ufa in 2024. He stressed that the accumulated experience and developed sports infrastructure of the region will allow holding competitions at the highest level.
Recall that last week in Moscow at the All-Russian Forum “Science to Win” Secretary of the General Council of “United Russia” Andrey Turchak supported Radiy Khabirov’s proposal to hold the International SAMBO Festival in Bashkiria. This event is scheduled for November 2024, and the Ufa Wrestling Palace, which is scheduled to open next year, will become the venue for the tournament.
– We will open the largest hall in Ufa, where it will be possible to hold championships, various sports competitions, forums, festivals and other major events, – summed up Radiy Faritovich.
