The number of Russian cyclists who have received neutral status has been announced

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has assigned neutral status to 43 Russian athletes. In total, 69 cyclists received this status in seven months of 2023.

Four athletes were denied neutral status. These are Alexey Obydennov, Anastasia Voinova, Maria Novolodskaya and Danila Burlakov. The ban will remain in effect as long as the special UCI rules regarding Russia and Belarus remain in place.

Earlier, 2006 Olympic champion in ice dancing Tatyana Navka said that Russian athletes should take part in the upcoming Olympics, which will be held in Paris in 2024, in a neutral status.
