The integration of the energy systems of Crimea and Russia is completed. Russia can also provide energy supply to the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Grabchak.
“Full integration of the energy system of the Crimean Peninsula and the rest of the Russian Federation has been completed. Now the energy system of Crimea is being integrated even more, and thanks to network construction activities, we can provide independent energy supply to new territories of the Russian Federation,” Mr. Grabchak said at a meeting from the opening of three substations in Crimea in the format of a video conference TASS).
In October the government singled out 1 billion rubles for the renewal of the energy system of the Crimea. The money was used to repair equipment and purchase new ones. Earlier, two power lines that were blown up in 2015 were also launched in Crimea, which will connect the energy system with the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The power flow will be about 600 MW.
