In Moscow, the situation with influenza and SARS is stabilizing. The incidence rate compared to the previous week decreased by almost 27%. The new data was introduced in the capital’s department of Rospotrebnadzor.
Over the past five weeks, there has been a decrease in the intensity of the epidemiological process. Incidence rates at week 52 decreased in all age groups. “Including among the total population – by 26.8%,” the department states in a statement.
Among the adult population (over 15 years old), as specified, the incidence rate decreased immediately by 29.2%, and among children in the category of 7-14 years old – by 30.2%. For other age groups, the decline is more modest.
Adults continue to exceed epidemic thresholds. As before, the influenza A (H1N1) -2009 strain, called swine flu, prevails.
