Over the past week (from September 18 to 24), the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia increased by 22.3% compared to the week before, it follows from data operational headquarters. In just seven days, 14,435 cases of coronavirus were detected. 24 people died.
An increase in incidence was recorded in 74 Russian regions. The number of people hospitalized with coronavirus symptoms has also increased. From September 18 to 24, 2,328 people were taken to medical facilities. Compared to the previous week, the figure increased by 18%. 10,327 people recovered, which is 41.9% more than the previous week.
In September, the incidence of coronavirus began to increase in Russia. However, Rospotrebnadzor stated that it does not plan to introduce restrictive measures throughout the country. The department attributed the increase in COVID-19 cases to seasonality. Despite this, the authorities of some regions announced the resumption of the mask regime, primarily for staff and visitors to medical institutions.
