The idea of a neutral Ukraine no longer makes sense, Kissinger said

During his official visit to Washington, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with former US Secretary of State and international relations expert Henry Kissinger.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, shared important details of this meeting on Telegram, emphasizing that the conversation with Kissinger was unusually deep and informative.
“It turned out to be a really deep conversation. Kissinger has many accurate quotes that characterize the current state of affairs in Russia,” Ermak noted.
He also said that Kissinger had previously been skeptical about Ukraine’s possible entry into NATO, but has now changed his position on this issue.
“Before the start of this conflict, I was against Ukraine’s membership in NATO, because I feared that this would trigger exactly the process that we are seeing now. Now that the process has reached such a level, the idea of a neutral Ukraine in such conditions no longer makes sense.”,” Ermak quoted Kissinger.
