The head of the Human Rights Council (HRC) under the President, Valery Fadeev, sent a letter to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressing a request to protect Russian citizens beaten in Kyrgyzstan. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Telegram channel of the Council.
Fadeev noted that the law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan concealed the fact of beating the Russians, and it became known only through messages on social networks. He also noted that Russians who were attacked in Kyrgyzstan continue to receive threats.
The head of the HRC asked the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan to consider the information received.
Information about the attack on Russians in a cafe in Kyrgyzstan appeared in mid-August, the corresponding video was posted by the Readovka Telegram channel. The material reported that the reason for the attack on the Russians was “ethnic impurity.” At the same time, the law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan did nothing to help the victims, and they decided to talk about the situation on social networks, but after that they began to receive threats.
