Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that enterprises in the field of housing and communal services will not be transferred to the state, reports “RIA News” from the exhibition-forum “Russia”.

Mr. Khusnullin is not sure that transferring housing and communal services enterprises to the ownership of municipal authorities is the right decision. “Why do we think that the municipality, having taken over, will definitely manage better? Is not a fact. Therefore, we need to approach this carefully,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Mr. Khusnullin said that the Prosecutor General’s Office is now actively working in the housing and communal services sector. According to him, the department, together with the government, is looking at where enterprises are failing and failing to fulfill their responsibilities. “There, if necessary, we will take extraordinary measures,” he noted, emphasizing that the transfer of enterprises to state ownership is not being considered.

On January 4, residents of 173 apartment buildings in Podolsk were left without heat. Also interruptions in heat supply were recorded in other cities of the Moscow region, as well as in Lipetsk, Nakhodka, Engels, and Vladivostok. The situation with heat outages in the Klimovsk microdistrict of Podolsk took under the personal control of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During discussions of the surge in the number of accidents on heating networks in early January at a plenary meeting of the State Duma, the speaker of the lower house of parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin saidthat one of the ways to solve the problem is to transfer heating networks into state ownership. To control the situation in housing and communal services, he proposed creating a working group.
