The day before, at the Essentuki Ice Arena, the results of the hockey tournament for the prizes of the city mayor were summed up. As the press service of the resort city administration said, for three days the 8 strongest teams from the South of Russia and the North Caucasus proved their leadership at the resort. Among them are young men aged 10-11 years from Essentuki, Sochi, Novocherkassk, Armavir, Stavropol and Vladikavkaz.

The competition opened with a match between the home team HC Heritage and the guests from Sochi HC Chernomor. The sports meeting ended with the victory of the Essentuki team with a score of 7:2. Later, the resort’s hockey players beat the Sochi-2 team with a score of 6:1.

In the final game, HC Sochi-1 and HC Ataman from Novocherkassk met. Athletes from the Rostov region became champions, finishing the match with a score of 8:1. The “Bronze” cup was taken home by the hockey players from Armavir, the “Albatross” team.

At the same time, for the first time on the ice, the best coach, goalkeeper, defenseman, forward, scorer and player of the tournament was awarded. The Audience Award was awarded to 8 competition participants, including Essentu residents Daniil Danilchuk and Nikita Lakhno.
