The Hill: three serious mistakes of the West threaten a catastrophe in Ukraine

Western countries are in serious danger of losing the conflict in Ukraine. And all this because of the three mistakes made, writes Stephen Blank for The Hill.

These three reasons, according to the observer, are interconnected. “Lack of strategy, fear of victory, as well as unwillingness to publicly agitate for the victory of Ukraine,” the entire list is given in the publication.

Despite public support for Ukraine, Western leaders, as the article notes, are growing privately skeptical that Kiev “can or appears to win.”

“Experts believe that Ukraine, not Russia, should be forced into negotiations,” the journalist notes. In his opinion, in the near future the West will see the consequences of its own indecision. He predicts: “Firstly, Ukrainian troops will finally leave Artemivsk, and secondly, Kyiv will have to postpone its spring offensive.” The second factor is facilitated by the fact that the West cannot “gather up its strength after 13 months and send the promised weapons.”
