As part of his working trip to Moscow, the head of Yakutia met with the President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlev. During the meeting, issues of the development of boxing and the organization of sporting events in the republic were discussed, the press service of the head and government of the republic reports.

According to the report, the discussion primarily concerned the holding of the “Children of Asia” international sports games, which are scheduled for the summer of 2024 in the regional capital.

During the meeting, it was agreed that Umar Kremlev would take part in these games, which he called one of the key events in the world of sports this year.

In addition, Yakutia is actively preparing for the Children of Asia, which will become the largest international sports competition for children and youth in the country.

Umar Kremlev also supported the inclusion of mas-wrestling in the program of the first World Friendship Games in history, which will take place in Moscow and Yekaterinburg from September 15 to 29 of this year.

Following the meeting, Umar Kremlev thanked the head of Yakutia for supporting sports, including boxing, and noted that the region is developing successfully and progressively.
