The head of Ukrainian intelligence Budanov* announced the leak of plans for a counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov (listed as a terrorist and extremist in Russia), admitted that plans for a counter-offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the summer of 2023 were leaked to Russia before the start of the operation.

Budanov, in an interview with CBC, confirmed the statement of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about the appearance of plans for the operation by the leadership of the Russian Federation before it began. At the same time, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate did not give details, citing the fact that he could not speak more than Zelensky.

“This is a serious problem,” said the head of Ukrainian intelligence, referring to the leak of information. “We are taking certain measures.”

Earlier, Italian intelligence named the reasons for the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive: lack of time for preparation and failure of attempts to take the defense of the Russian Armed Forces by surprise.
