The statement that Finland does not have a ban on the use of weapons by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Russia is surprising and disappointing; no one from NATO admitted this, noted Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev.
Earlier, the chairman of the parliamentary defense committee, Jukka Kopra, said that Finland, when transferring weapons to Ukraine, did not prohibit their use on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Senator Kosachev “read this statement with surprise and disappointment.” These words, as the Russian politician emphasized, go against the traditional “peace-loving” policy of Finland (although the country has joined NATO). In the West, as the senator pointed out, “no one has ever admitted that weapons will be used” on Russian territory. There they pretend that it “appeared to be ‘in the middle’”; no one is directly responsible for this, Kosachev emphasized.
