The head of the Yabloko party in Volzhsky fined for discrediting the army

The Volzhsky City Court of the Volgograd Region found the head of the local branch of the Yabloko party in the city of Volzhsky, Alexander Efimov, guilty of discrediting the RF Armed Forces. How clarified in court, he was fined 30 thousand rubles.
Mr. Yefimov wrote on social networks that the reason for bringing him to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation became “a comment on the VKontakte network containing a screenshot from the UN website on the number of victims among civilians.” Alexander Efimov plans to appeal the decision.
Mr. Yefimov has been the head of the Yabloko party branch in Volzhsky since 2012, and is a member of the party’s federal bureau.
