Police Major General Alexander Esaulenko is leaving the post of head of the Russian Guard department for the Samara region. He reported this in his Telegram channel Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Khinshtein.

“Last week he submitted his resignation. Documents for his dismissal have already been sent to the presidential administration,” the statement says.

Alexander Esaulenko has headed the regional department of the Russian Guard since October 2017. The reasons for his resignation are not reported. Alexander Esaulenko is a native of Krasnodar. He has served in the internal affairs bodies since December 1994. He started his career in the Krasnodar region, then changed his place of service to the Samara region.
