DDoS attacks have resumed on the remote electronic voting system in Moscow. Despite this, the DEG works normally. This was stated to journalists by the head of the Public Headquarters for Election Observation in the capital Vadim Kovalev, his words are quoted by TASS.
“Unfortunately, we have resumed massive DDoS attacks on our city system and on the Observer, where we monitor the number of transactions … But the system is holding up, working, the choice of Muscovites is reliably protected,” said Mr. Kovalev.
September 9 Head of the Public Headquarters for Election Observation informed about 4,000 DDoS attacks on the e-voting system. The press service of the Moscow Department of Information Technology told TASS that in the first two days of voting in the Moscow elections, the system was attacked more than 6 thousand times.
1417 deputies are elected in Moscow, about 6 thousand candidates are registered. Turnout in the capital on the second day of voting amounted to 25.5%.
