The head of the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) Epiphanius began a service in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on the occasion of Palm Sunday. Parishioners of the canonical UOC and Metropolitan Onufry are praying on the street next to the Lavra, eyewitnesses report.
Judging by the footage from the spot, the situation in the Lavra and next to it is quite calm. There are policemen on the premises. Divine services of the OCU and the UOC are broadcast on social networks.
Earlier, Metropolitan Pavel, the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, was placed under house arrest for two months.
