Head of the National Anti-Corruption Committee (NAC) Kirill Kabanov drew attention to the fact that about a third of new Russian citizens, immigrants from Central Asia, when passing a medical examination, are asked to provide them with a certificate for permission to store and carry firearms.
He turned to the National Guard for clarification, where he was informed that migrants, along with obtaining Russian citizenship, can apply for a weapon permit without any restrictions.
“Most of the new citizens, immigrants from Central Asia and the Caucasus, are in no hurry / are not going to register with the Russian military, but for some reason they immediately run “to arms,” Kabanov noted.
He promised to prepare an appeal to the leadership of the Russian Guard as soon as possible in order to understand “what is the true scale of the disaster.”
Kabanov said that this category of citizens should be banned from arming without military registration. It is also extremely important to find out who buys weapons and why.
The head of the NAC cited the results of a survey conducted among migrants. According to its data, 40% of respondents admitted that they were ready to defend their “ethno-cultural interests on the territory of Russia” with weapons in their hands. Kabanov stressed that they are all ready for rebellion and openly admit it.
