Lithuanian Foreign Minister Landsbergis doubted that the European Union would send military personnel to Ukraine

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, in a conversation with journalists before the start of the next meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union (EU) countries in Brussels, expressed the opinion that the EU countries are unlikely to develop a single collective decision on sending troops to Ukraine.

Landsbergis admits that he does not believe in the possibility of reaching an agreement on the deployment of EU troops on Ukrainian territory, since the Union previously failed to reach a common opinion on less sensitive issues. This is how he answered a question from the press about whether the foreign ministers would discuss the possibility of agreeing on a unified approach to the issue of sending military units to Ukraine.

At the same time, the minister emphasized that Lithuania is ready to consider any options and participate in any coalitions that could help Ukraine win.
