A record 76 million people voted for Putin – Kommersant

The head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, said that 75.9 million people voted for Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections. In 2018, 56.4 million citizens voted for him.
“75 million 932 thousand 111 voters voted for the current head of state. This is also a record figure,” Ella Pamfilova said at a briefing at the Central Election Commission (quoted from TASS).
After 99.7% of the country’s ballots are counted, Vladimir Putin wins 87.31% of the votes. Second place goes to Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation with 4.30%, Vladislav Davankov from New People receives 3.83%, Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party – 3.21%. The turnout in all regions was 74.22% (data as of 18:00 Moscow time), the turnout of voters registered in the DEG was 94%.
