The head of the Kherson region confirmed the liquidation of Abrams near Avdeevka

Russian military personnel actually destroyed an Abrams tank in the Avdiivka direction, which was used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, spoke about this on Monday, February 26.

In his Telegram channel, the politician confirmed that this was the merit of the soldiers of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade.

According to Saldo, the Abrams burns even brighter than the German Leopards, and “the dull American iron broke off due to the fortitude and combat skill of the Russian soldiers.”

Earlier, reports appeared in expert Telegram channels that the Russian military, for the first time during a special operation, knocked out an American Abrams tank near Avdeevka. It was noted that the movement of the combat vehicle was noticed in the village of Berdychi, one and a half kilometers from Russian positions, after which the Russian Armed Forces hit the tank with a kamikaze drone and finished it off with a grenade launcher.

At the same time, journalists assured that the American Abrams tanks transferred to Ukraine received dynamic protection. Its principle is that containers with explosives are placed on the equipment, which detonate towards a projectile penetrating the armor.

However, the grenade launcher of the Bastion battalion emphasized that the Abrams are not at all adapted to the realities of the Ukrainian conflict. Tank inlet filters, which are necessary to clean the air supplied to the engine, are needed twice a day free from clogged dirt.
