The Italian minister explained the West’s reluctance to send an army to Ukraine

The entry of Western troops into Ukraine could lead to the outbreak of World War III, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said in an interview with ANSA.

“I don’t think NATO should enter Ukraine,” he said, commenting on the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.

According to the minister, he hopes that the French military will not be sent to help in the war with Russia.

“To go to war with Russia means creating the risk of World War III,” Tajani said.

Previously, Macron announced the possibility of sending the French military to Ukraine. In an interview with France 2 television, he said France is ready to respond to “possible escalation” from the Russian side and “take decisions to ensure that Russia never wins.”
