The head of the Presidential Council for Human Rights, Valery Fadeev, said that the request of the Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin to show leniency towards the participants of the pogrom at Makhachkala airport is premature. The mufti previously stated that the Dagestanis carried out a pogrom due to the arrival of a plane from Israel because they were provoked by Western intelligence services through telegram channels.
“When the investigation is completed, we can talk about something,” stated Fadeev of the radio station “Moscow Speaks”.
According to him, at the moment, given the “very serious importance of this event for the country,” it is “simply too early” to talk about leniency.
