Chairman of the Human Rights Council (HRC) under the President of the Russian Federation Valery Fadeev opposed the idea of creating a register of artists who do not support the military operation. This is how he commented on the proposal of rapper Akim Apachev, who also advocated blocking such performers on Russian streaming sites.
“I do not support. Who will compile this register? What powers will these people who will make such a register have? Who authorized them to make such a register?” – commented the head of the HRC “RIA News”noting that any citizen can express his opinion regarding the political, public position, other people and other citizens.
Authorized bodies should deal with this, said Valery Fadeev and cited the register of foreign agents as an example. According to him, the Ministry of Justice quite competently determines who is a foreign agent.
May 12 Akim Apachev offered to block the opportunity for artists who did not support the military operation to monetize their work. According to him, together with other activists, he has already held two actions to cancel the concerts of “such figures.”
