Chairman of the Human Rights Council (HRC) under the President of Russia Valery Fadeev supported the actions of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), which checks the facts of overpricing of military equipment. Fadeev noted that such actions on the part of business are looting.
“I welcome the fact that the FAS got involved in time and began to monitor prices. You see, price gouging at times is like looting, ”said the head of the HRC.
According to Fadeev, if martial law were introduced in the country, then the measures against such businesses would be much tougher.
It is worth noting that after conducting research, the FAS Russia noted a significant increase in prices for military equipment and other military products, as a result of which warnings were issued by the prosecutor’s office.
