“Morality is more than a sport, and we must preserve it. We are united with our government and will not allow players working in the KHL to play for our national team. We disagree with the guys who play in Russia in morale.

We are not responsible for his actions and can only decide that such a person cannot represent our country at the moment,” Gadamchik said.

Yashkin is a citizen of the Czech Republic, although he was born in Omsk. Thus, with his threats, at least for now, he closed his path to the Czech national team.

Earlier, SKA acquired a player from Dynamo Moscow following an exchange. Yashkin’s contract is valid until April 30, 2023.
