The head of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Yuri Lapshin resigned

Yuri Lapshin, Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, resigned. Acting Governor of the Territory Mikhail Kotyukov accepted the application of Mr. Lapshin. About it reported on the official website of the region.

As Mr. Lapshin explained, he “considered it right” to resign after the resignation of the head of the region, Alexander Uss, whose government he headed. He recalled that he received an invitation to the position from Mr. Uss and worked in his post for five years.

“The new head of the region should also have the opportunity to decide who will be next to him from the first days of immersion in this difficult work,” said Yuri Lapshin, his words were quoted by the government press service.

As follows from the reference website Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, until 2009 Yuri Lapshin worked in various business structures. In 2009, he became the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Khakassia, in 2011-2014 he was Acting First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Khakassia.

In 2014, he became Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in 2018 – Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

April 20 President Vladimir Putin accepted resignation of the ex-head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss. He headed the region in 2017, his term ended in September 2023. Acting Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory became ex-deputy finance minister Mikhail Kotyukov. Mr. Uss said he had received a job offer at the federal level. In the Kremlin reportedthat his new place of work could be the Federation Council.
