The main problem of bloggers, which led to claims against them for paying taxes, was the rapid growth of their business. The head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Egorov, said this in an interview RBC.
“From my point of view, one of the significant problems is the problem of rapid growth. The guys grew up quickly, and grew up without the need to use the classical models of creating a business with a human resources department, lawyers and accounting, which we understood,” said Mr. Egorov.
He added that in the case of bloggers, standard checks were carried out, since “these are not the largest industries.” According to the head of the Federal Tax Service, there were no political reasons for their start.
Daniil Egorov noted that bloggers are also taxpayers who shape the economy, and treating them with disdain is “fundamentally wrong.” However, some of them, he said, “distort the tax base” and “continue to resist.”
At the beginning of 2023, March 16, Savelovsky court appointed Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek) prohibited certain actions on charges of tax evasion for 311 million rubles. April 27 detained blogger Elena Blinovskaya due to tax evasion of almost 1 billion rubles. November 4 in Moscow arrested blogger Ayaz Shabutdinov - he was charged with eight counts of a criminal case of fraud on an especially large scale. The court's decision is named "an unhealthy signal for business."
