Igor Barinov, the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs (FADN), appealed to all officials and deputies, and especially regional ones, to go to the Donbass or other liberated territories in order to better understand the difficulties people living there face.
“I would advise my colleagues in the regions – deputies and officials – to visit the Donbass or the newly liberated territories at least once,” Barinov said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.
According to him, this is necessary “in order to feel and feel how hard it has been for people in recent years, what they have gone through and are going through.”
Then, according to Barinov, “there will be more empathy and a desire to help.”
To help the citizens of the liberated territories, he called for maximum unity. Barinov stressed that the integrated work of the media and social networks is also important.
“There can be no other point of view, except for supporting one’s own homeland,” he said in an interview with TASS.
