The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, proposed to deprive the citizenship of those who show disrespect for the state symbols and the anthem of Russia. He stated this in an interview with a regional TV channel. “Crimea24”.
“Why do you need citizenship if you don’t get up, don’t respect the symbols of the state – the flag, the anthem? Let’s revoke citizenship through the courts. I don’t see the need for these people. You will not get any benefit from them, no matter where they work,” he said.
Also, the head of the Crimea advocated the revival of the counterintelligence organization of the type “Death to Spies” (SMERSH), which existed in the Soviet Union during the Second World War in relation to the “fifth column”. “Today is the time. I’m not even talking about military operations, but about peaceful life. We have many such fifth columns: it is not clear who they work for and what they do,” the head of the region expressed his opinion.
“You can not respect the authorities, disagree with something, but to show disrespect for your country is direct hostility. Why should such people receive social support measures from the state? Radical decisions must be made here,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Former Speaker of the State Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov offered to deprive the citizenship of citizens who left Russia during a special military operation in Ukraine.
