The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that his son was called up for military service on partial mobilization.

“The law is the same for everyone. Today my son was called up and has already left for the unit on the territory of the unit,” quotes his RIA Novosti. Aksyonov also said that he was proud of his son, who “cannot stay away from the ongoing events.”

On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in Russia. He clarified that citizens who are in the reserve are subject to conscription, and above all those who served in the ranks of the Armed Forces, have certain military specialties and relevant experience. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, a total of 300,000 people will be called up – about 1% of the mobilization resource.

The day before, the General Staff reported that first of all, shooters, tankers, artillerymen, drivers and driver-mechanics would be called up for military service. The department also noted that the mobilization will not affect the autumn recruits. Today, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the draft does not threaten employees of the IT sector, telecom operators, the media and banks.
