The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation recommended that the bureau replace the head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation faction in the Kurultai of Bashkiria. Currently, this position is occupied by the first secretary of the Republican Party Committee, Yunir Kutluguzhin. According to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Mr. Kutluguzhin will remain the head of the republican branch of the party, and his place in the faction should be taken by deputy Vadim Starov.

“Yunir Kutluguzhin has done a great job over a long period of time. All of his potential will be aimed at strengthening the party’s branch. Vadim Starov worked with Kutluguzhin for the entire previous convocation of the Kurultai of Bashkiria, he has the necessary experience for such work,” Alexander Yushchenko, press secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, told Kommersant-Ufa.

As Kommersant previously reported, last week Yunir Kutluguzhin found himself in the center scandal in the parliament of Bashkiria. The head of the communist faction proposed to condemn ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev for his non-traditional sexual orientation. The initiative caused bewilderment both within the walls of the Kurultai of Bashkiria and among representatives of the executive branch of the republic and social activists.
