The head of the administration of the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region Vladimir Zhdanov, whom Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded today, June 1, with the Order of Courage, he spoke about a telephone conversation with the head of state. Mr. Zhdanov said that he had reported to the president the situation in the district and shared his plans for the future.

“Today, Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin called me, I reported the situation to him, told him about our actions and plans. He thanked me,” said Mr. Zhdanov on the air of “Russia 24”. According to him, the president first of all asked what kind of assistance the city district needs.

Shebekinsky city district last weeks exposed massive shelling from Ukraine. Several residents were killed and injured, dozens of houses and cars were damaged in the city.

The authorities of the region have opened several temporary accommodation centers in the districts for those who leave the Shebekinsky district.
