The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, promised to deal with all cases of mobilization of citizens by mistake. According to him, there are “single signals” in the region about the draft “in the first wave of those who did not even serve urgently.” The head of the region did not explain what the first wave of mobilization meant.

“There are cases when those who have not even served in the military are called up to the first wave, such single signals also come. With this, we are dealing with everything and we will deal with it. <...> We will definitely deal with those who were called by mistake. I personally control problem situations,” Mr. Razvozhaev wrote in Telegram.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on 21 September. He argued that first of all, those who served in the ranks of the armed forces, who have certain military specialties and relevant experience, will be subject to conscription. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu assured that 300,000 reservists would be mobilized. However, the paragraph of the decree with the number of mobilized not disclosedit has the status “for official use”.
