The head of military intelligence of Ukraine went on TV for the first time after reports of a wound

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, went on air on the Rada TV channel, calling reports of his injury fakes.

“I take it with a smile and react the same way. Fakes are fakes for that … We still understood that everything was fine with me, ”- leads his words TASS.

As the agency notes, Budanov, trimmed baldly, was in a room that looks like his office, which had previously flashed in the media.

On June 5, the RIA Novosti agency, citing a source in the Russian law enforcement agencies, reported that on May 29 Budanov was injured as a result of a missile attack on the headquarters of this department in Kyiv. The rocket, according to his information, hit the neighboring office with Budanov. After removing him from the rubble, he was evacuated in serious condition to the Rzeszow military base in Poland, and from there to Berlin by an American evacuation board.

On May 16, Budanov said that Kyiv “got many” Russians, including public and media personalities. Thus, he answered the question of whether Kyiv could “get” the Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov or the philosopher Alexander Dugin. To a clarifying question whether the goal of his structure was the Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin, Budanov said that he could not confirm or refute this information. Before that, he said that Ukraine “killed and will continue to kill Russians anywhere in the world until the country’s complete victory.”

The Kremlin called this statement by the head of military intelligence unprecedented. Moscow, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, stressed, has no doubt that Kyiv not only sponsors the attacks, but is also their “organizer, inspirer and executor.”
