The head of Kineshma, Vyacheslav Stupin, presented the young hockey players with new skates and sticks, the Kineshma administration reported.
Since 2014, trainer-teacher Viktor Shorokhov has been conducting educational and training sessions at the Arena sports school, which are attended not only by boys, but also by girls. In total, 42 people are involved in the section. The Molniya hockey team participates in competitions at various levels. For example, the team went to the All-Russian competition for young hockey players “Golden Puck” and to the Ivanovo Region hockey championship.
Last year, young men born in 2007 won the Ivanovo region hockey championship. Their younger comrades ended up in fifth place.
This week, Vyacheslav Stupin attended a training session at the home hockey rink, located on the territory of the Arena school, and presented the young hockey players with new skates and sticks. The head of the city noted that hockey is a popular sport in Kineshma, but very expensive. To help young athletes, funds were found in the city budget to purchase new skates and clubs.
Vyacheslav Stupin wished the hockey players success and new sporting victories and promised to continue to provide assistance whenever possible.
