The head coach of the Kazakhstan national football team, Magomed Adiev, spoke on the topic of a possible match with Russia, Match TV reports.
According to Adiev, his team has free time in June. But the decision on a possible game with Russia will be made by the Kazakhstan Football Federation.
Russia is suspended from world sports due to sanctions. The national team can only play friendly matches, the closest of which will be held in Moscow in March against the Serbs.
Magomed Adiev was born in Grozny in Chechnya. As a striker, he played for FC Anzhi, CSKA, Spartak, Terek and Kazakh Zhenis. He began his coaching career in 2010. He worked as a mentor in the teams “Akhmat”, “Anzhi”, “Chaika”. In 2022, he was appointed to the position of head coach of the Kazakhstan national team.
