On June 3, the 2022-2023 football season in Russia will end in Russia. The final matches of the season will be held in the RPL, the First League and most of the Second League groups. High-ranking officials from the RFU also spoke about this, but the fans will not see the Russian team at the international tournament in June 2023.
The RFU refused to participate in the tournament due to the fatigue of the players, who will finish playing in the matches of the national championship only on June 3. Igor Kolyvanov, the head coach of the Ivanovo Tekstilshchik, spoke on this topic.
“Now the Russian championship is ending. All the players are tired – it makes no sense to call them to the national team. There will be no emotions, so they will not give it their all. It seems to me that the players themselves would not be very happy to be called to the Russian national team,” said Igor Kolyvanov.
