Boys under 16 compete for the Arctic Cup on November 26–27 at the Nord Expo base
The Greco-Roman wrestling tournament “Arctic Cup” is taking place in the capital of Pomorye. This year, about 500 athletes from more than 30 regions of Russia, as well as from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, take part in them.
At the opening ceremony, young athletes were greeted by Olympic champion, world champion, six-time European champion Alexei Mishin, Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk region Sergei Pivkov and the head of Arkhangelsk Dmitry Morev.
The Arctic Cup has been held in Arkhangelsk since 2012 on the initiative of the Olimp sports school with the support of the government of the Arkhangelsk region. According to the press service of the government of the Arkhangelsk region, during the competition, Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling Alexei Mishin will hold a master class for young athletes.
The awarding ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the competition will take place tomorrow, November 27, at the Nord Expo base.
