The grandfather of a boy named Putin was outraged by the desire of his parents to return the name Rasul to him

The Juraev family from the Vladimir region seven years ago, when their son Rasul was one and a half years old, met the wishes of his grandfather and renamed the boy briefly and clearly: Putin. The fact is that grandfather Rahmon is a big fan of the Russian president, he even created a kind of “museum” named after Putin in his house. But it became known that now the parents decided to return the name given to the child at birth. “MK” contacted the boy’s grandfather to find out his attitude to this event.

Young parents gave their son the name Putin in 2016. Until now, the boy went to school with this name, now he is in the third grade. This family is from Tajikistan, they have long received Russian citizenship and before moving to the Vladimir region in the village of Legkovo in 2014, they lived in Moscow for five years, where, by the way, grandfather Rahmon now lives.

Grandfather, being a fan of Vladimir Putin, made his “museum”, the exhibits of which are photographs of the Russian leader, souvenirs, carpets with his image … When grandfather Rahmon asked his son Jahongir to rename the child, he respected his father, and the boy began to be officially called Putin Dzhakhongirovich.

However, recently it became known that Putin’s mom and dad decided to return the child’s original name Rasul. This was announced by the head of the regional department of the registry office Ekaterina Belous live on the local portal. “Parents have already contacted us again. While we consulted them… They want to give the child back the name he was given at birth,” she said.

It is noteworthy that the Juraev family, again at the initiative of the grandfather-admirer of the leaders of the Russian government, did not stop at Putin. “My daughter gave birth to a son, and I named him Shoigu!” Rahmon told us. With a patronymic, his name sounds like this: Shoigu Khurmedovich. Now Putin’s (still Putin’s) cousin Shoigu is in first grade. So far, there is no information that the parents would also like to rename it somehow.

Grandfather Rahmon only learned from us that his parents decided to return the name Rasul to his grandson. He told us that “he has not spoken for four years” with his son (Putin’s father) because of a family quarrel (the grandfather has claims against his son’s wife). They have three children in total: two sons and a daughter. According to Rahmon, he did not have to persuade his son and daughter-in-law to change the name of one of the sons to “Putin”: “They immediately gave the go-ahead!” Why the parents decided now to rename Putin back to Rasul, grandfather does not know. But he doesn’t like their decision.

– I am proud that the name of my grandson is Putin! I have great respect for those who have a good opinion of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, I am ready to carry such people in my arms! Rahmon said in an interview with MK. – And I’m against them renaming my grandson to Rasul!

Psychologist Yevgeny Idzikovsky expressed his opinion to MK, for what reasons parents might still want to return the child to its former, ordinary name.

– I think that in such cases, people around pay more attention to the name than to the person. And that’s always embarrassing. Well, the kids will tease anyway. As a result, this can lead to a feeling of “I’m not like everyone else” and to some alienation from the team. Perhaps the boy’s parents faced some difficulties by his third grade, and therefore decided to return him to his usual name.
