“United Russia” decided that in 15 regions out of 20, where elections of deputies of legislative assemblies will be held, the lists will be headed by the current governors or acting heads of regions. Secretary of the General Council of the party Andrei Turchak said this at a meeting of the General Council on May 31.
In four new regions, the lists in the elections of legislative assemblies will be headed by acting heads of regions: Denis Pushilin – in the DPR, Leonid Pasechnik – in the LPR, Yevgeny Balitsky – in the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Saldo – in the Kherson region. In addition, in the Smolensk region, the list will be headed by the acting head of the region Vasily Anokhin.
Also, the governors Alexander Avdeev – Vladimir region, Alexander Tsybulsky – Arkhangelsk region, Yuri Bezdudny – NAO, Alexei Tsydenov – Buryatia, Batu Khasikov – Kalmykia, Aisen Nikolaev – Yakutia, Sergey Tsivilev – Kemerovo region, Igor Kobzev – Irkutsk region, Radiy Khabirov – Bashkiria, Vasily Golubev – Rostov region. The list in the Legislative Assembly of Khakassia will be headed by State Duma deputy Sergei Sokol, whom United Russia plans to put forward as a candidate in the election of the governor of Khakassia.
Thus, only in three regions where elections of heads of regions will be held, the lists will not be headed by acting governors: in the Ivanovo and Yaroslavl regions – but there is no head part of the list, the Trans-Baikal Territory (in the Ulyanovsk region, the governor represents the Communist Party of the Russian Federation). The fact that United Russia governors will head the party lists in the elections to legislative assemblies, Vedomosti wrote April 28th.
The results of the primaries were also summed up at the General Council. Secretary of the General Council of the party Andrei Turchak said that more than 3 million electors took part in them. Turchak said that among them there were more than 150 participants in the special operation, however, he did not say how many of them won the primaries. He cited as an example only the Volgograd region, where Alexander Nelepin, a participant in a special operation, won the primaries in one of the districts in the election of deputies to the Volgograd City Duma.
Turchak also said that 48% of the winners of the primaries are members of the party, and 19% are its supporters. The highest turnout in the primaries, if taken in relation to the number of voters in the region, was in Yakutia and the NAO. And the leaders in terms of total number were the Rostov region and Bashkiria.
