Governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov reported on his Telegram channel about the likelihood of floods in the region.
According to him, the reason for this was the release of water at reservoirs on the Tobol River.
“A large body of water goes to Kurgan… The main problem is that the difference in water levels in Tobol in Zverinogolovskoye is already more than 980 centimeters, and in Kurgan – 375 centimeters,” Shumkov said.
The head of the region added that it is this difference in the body of water that goes with the flow.
