The governor of the Pskov region announced the elimination of the consequences of a drone attack

The consequences of a nighttime drone attack on the Pskov airport have been eliminated. About it informed Governor of the region Mikhail Vedernikov in a video message on his Telegram channel.

“The airport was attacked by drones. The effects of the attack have been removed. There are no victims or injured. All fires are localized,” he said.

Vedernikov specified that the damage from the attack is estimated. He stressed that civilian infrastructure was not affected.

The governor noted that the airport will be closed “until the end of investigative and other necessary measures.” According to him, the preliminary runway remained “in normal condition.” Vedernikov expressed hope that the airport will resume work on August 31.

He stressed that the authorities do not plan to introduce additional restrictions either in the region or in Pskov. Vedernikov also thanked the residents of the city “for self-control and calmness.” According to him, there were no signs of panic in Pskov amid the drone attack.

On the night of August 30, a number of Russian regions have undergone mass attack by Ukrainian drones. In particular, the drones were destroyed in the Moscow, Orel, Kaluga, Bryansk and Ryazan regions, as well as in the Pskov region and in the Crimea. An airport in the Pskov region was attacked by drones. As a result of the attack, no one was injured, but the Il-76 aircraft were damaged. Later Rosaviatsiya reported on the cancellation of all flights at the airport on 30 August.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov declaredthat Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed about a nighttime drone attack on the regions. At the same time, the Kremlin representative did not speculate about the country from which the drones that attacked the Pskov region could have been sent. He stressed that the special operation will continue “to eradicate such threats” for Russia.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova named a massive drone attack by the “absolute dead end” in which Kyiv is located. According to her, recent incidents indicate the lack of development prospects for the leadership of Ukraine.
