Construction of an ice palace for the Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sports continues in Omsk.
As the governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, reported in his telegram channel, in addition to the indoor ice arena, a three-story administrative building is being built nearby.
“Trainings for university students will be held here, as well as competitions in short track speed skating, figure skating and hockey,” Vitaly Khotsenko wrote in his telegram channel.
Spectators will have their own access to the ice arena. The stands will accommodate up to 200 fans.
The construction of an artificial ice rink with a total area of more than 5,000 sq.m is planned to be completed in 2024.
Previously we wrotethat a new indoor skating rink was opened in Omsk last year. The construction of the Siberian Oilman took 170 million rubles.
Also we reportedthat the Russian national hockey team will hold a tournament in Omsk.
