The governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra addressed the brethren from the pre-trial detention center: “With blessing and faith, we will go through all the trials!”

Metropolitan Pavel, Viceroy of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra addressed to the brethren and believers from the place of his imprisonment in the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center in Kyiv. In his message, he talked about the opposition and threats he faces, but stressed that neither he nor the brethren will succumb to false accusations and blackmail attempts.

“They demanded from me that we leave the Lavra in order to hand over you and your relatives for checks by the special services. All accusations are a complete lie. Sly witnesses, including from the brethren, cannot charge me with anything,” he said.

Metropolitan Pavel stated with confidence that all the accusations against him are a complete lie. He noted that despite the difficult situation, lawyers are trying to protect his interests, but their voice is not heard.

“The prosecutor, the investigator and the judge are the same troikas who once judged Mikhail Semyonovich Litvinenko and other confessors and martyrs of the faith,” the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra noted, expressing his concern for justice at this difficult time.

He also asked for the holy prayers of the believers, emphasizing the need to act with blessing and deep faith. The vicar turned to the brethren with a request to be united, to do everything with a blessing and patiently endure trials.

“You don’t need outside governors, we have all the brethren worthy,” the metropolitan stressed.

The vicar of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra emphasized that with God’s help and faith, all difficulties would be overcome.
