The governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Mikhail Degtyarev, said that he could take part in a special operation in Ukraine as a volunteer, but he cannot leave his post. About this he told in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He explained that now two registered contract battalions are being formed in the region and he would have joined them if it were not for the “booking”. “We are proud of them, thank you. Well done boys. I would love to go myself. But you can’t – I have a reservation because of the governorship. I am the commander of the territorial defense headquarters, these are all governors by position. I can’t quit my post, ”Degtyarev emphasized.

Former editor-in-chief of Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine Viktor Murakhovsky toldthat since May, so-called “nominal battalions” have been formed in the subjects of Russia, the number of which, presumably, can reach 45,000 people.

At the end of August, the Russian Ministry of Defense published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts, a bill that proposes to pay survivors’ pensions to the families of volunteers who died during a special operation in Ukraine. The document was prepared in accordance with the President’s decision taken on July 20. If the prepared draft is adopted, the calculation of pensions for the families of volunteers will be carried out by analogy with the military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces. Also Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov toldthat Vladimir Putin will instruct the government to provide labor guarantees to citizens who wish to take part in the special operation as volunteers.

September 7, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in his Telegram channel informedthat fighters of two Chechen units were sent to the zone of the special operation: the “North” regiment and the “South” battalion of the Russian National Guard.
